After many years of friendship and working together in an office our creative personalities were screaming out to lead us both into floristry.  We began a floristry course together and found ourselves creating almost identical floral pieces without watching each other, and that was when Bunches of Sussex was born.

 

We started by sending letterbox flowers but quickly realised our passion was working together creating bouquets, buttonholes and centrepieces galore! We also quickly realised the joy in delivering wedding flowers ourselves and being able to transform the venues too. There’s nothing quite as heart warming as the brides mother shedding tears over seeing her daughters bouquet for the first time!

 

So much of our knowledge has been learnt on the job. With any role, the truly invaluable knowledge comes from experience, and that we can say we have had a lot of! We’ve been to and transformed many venues and always come fully prepared with our aprons packed with tapes, twines, cable ties, the list could go on!

 

We grow a lot of the ‘extra touch’ flowers ourselves which allows us to add them fresh from the garden and keep a seasonal feel when requested. It feels so special for us to be able to finish a bouquet with flowers we’ve nurtured from seed - that’s when you know your florist truly cares!
